Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, adaptable, and hands-on Project Manager to lead residential construction projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong project management skills who is comfortable balancing field operations, project administration, and collaboration across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

Typical responsibilities of a Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all phases of residential construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and close-out.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and progress reports.
  • Maintain proactive communication with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and expectations are clearly communicated.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, building codes, safety standards, and internal quality controls.
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve project issues by providing timely communication and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to implement scalable systems, processes, and documentation standards.
  • Perform administrative functions related to project compliance, billing, reporting, and project documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience managing residential construction projects (disaster recovery experience is a plus).
  • Experience with Buildertrend, BuildPro, Procore, or similar construction management software.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, scopes of work, and technical specifications.
  • Ability to manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup-like environment where adaptability and initiative are essential.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with government-funded construction or Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) programs.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and inspections.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to grow with a startup construction firm from the ground up.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and process development.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven environment committed to helping communities rebuild stronger.

Ideal Candidate

This individual takes ownership of their projects, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and is committed to delivering quality work while continuously improving processes.
