Project Manager

Lead high-impact technology projects in one of Australia's most regulated environments. Our client, a major Australian financial institution, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure and application delivery projects, with a focus on data segregation and system access controls.

About the Role
You'll own the full project lifecycle, from strategy and planning through to delivery and post-implementation review. Leading cross-functional teams of engineers, architects and business analysts, you'll keep stakeholders aligned and ensure every outcome meets the bank's security, privacy and regulatory standards.
This role suits someone who works comfortably at the intersection of technology and governance, and who has hands-on experience delivering data segregation initiatives in a big four banking environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the technical planning, delivery and governance of infrastructure and application projects across multiple business units
• Managing scope, timelines, budgets and risk mitigation to ensure successful delivery
• Guiding cross-functional teams of engineers, architects and business analysts to achieve strategic objectives
• Ensuring compliance with data security, privacy and regulatory requirements, with particular emphasis on data segregation and system access controls
• Working with technical and business stakeholders to define scalable, secure and compliant solutions
• Reporting progress, risks and dependencies to senior management and governance boards
• Driving continuous improvement across Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery methodologies

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years in technical project or program management, including experience within a big four bank
• A proven track record delivering infrastructure and application projects in banking or financial services
• Demonstrated experience in data segregation, data migration or access control implementation
• A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud environments and application lifecycle management
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification (preferred)
• A tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
