Project Manager – IT Service Management / SaaS Projects

Duration: 4-month contract, immediate start

Location: Brisbane CBD

Work Arrangements: Predominantly office-based, with some hybrid flexibility for the right person. Part-time or fractional arrangements will also be considered.

Company Overview

BLACKROC is partnering with a fast-growing Australian IT Service Management and SaaS consultancy to recruit a Project Manager.

Role Purpose

This is an urgent requirement. Our client is moving quickly and interviewing immediately, so if you're available now, please apply today. They have several high-profile SaaS implementation projects underway. You'll step in straight away and take ownership of governance across these engagements. You'll lead client steering committees, manage senior and C-suite stakeholders, and keep complex deliveries on track. This is a hands-on, vendor-side role for someone who can quickly establish credibility and take control.

Key Responsibilities

• Own project governance and delivery across multiple concurrent SaaS/IT implementation projects
• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues
• Lead client Project Steering Committees, reporting on progress, risks and decisions required
• Manage senior stakeholders across government and highly regulated organisations
• Handle scope changes, delivery disputes, negotiation and competing expectations
• Make sure customer deliverables, dependencies and responsibilities are clearly defined and understood
• Work with Resource Management to secure the right consultants and technical resources
• Coordinate internal consultants and engagement teams to keep activities on schedule
• Mentor Engagement Managers and Project Assistants

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering technology implementation projects, ideally SaaS
• Background with a technology vendor, systems integrator or consulting organisation
• Experience running multiple projects and competing priorities at once
• Strong governance, planning and delivery capability
• Demonstrated experience with steering committees, senior executives and C-suite stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to negotiate and manage difficult conversations
• Experience coordinating consultants and resources across multiple engagements

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• IT Service Management (ITSM) experience
• ServiceNow, Jira or similar ITSM platforms
• Government or highly regulated environments
• Enterprise software implementation or systems integration
