Project Manager

GIP-Potzus Ltd is one of Saskatchewan’s largest construction companies. Established in 1966 we are a second generation family owned and operated business. Day to day operations include excavation, earth moving, site development, aggregate production, and paving.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager :

You will:

-Work with site supervisors and on site requirements.

-Ensure the timely and cost-efficient completion of heavy construction projects.

-Review land surveys, road agreements, land surveys, assess project estimations and budgets, help create design plans, and review potential safety issues to help with project planning processes.

• Responsible for communication with landowners, subcontractors, local governing bodies, communicating with engineers and project consultants and communicating with project managers.

-Generate reports focused on project progress, schedules, project status, and costs to ownership.

• Work with field supervisors, consultants, and clients on civil construction projects and report to the project management with regards to field operations, aggregate and asphalt quantity, and QC requirements of the contract.

-Understanding and experience with the observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregate, and asphalt) in accordance with ASTM.

• Work with lab staff in regard to inspections, project requirements, testing procedures, and results to testing requirements. While doing so you must adhere to strict safety and environmental standards.

-Daily QC and QA testing of materials and mixtures to stay in compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerance to ensure products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer.

-Keep track of all mix designs verifications, re-certifications, and transfers.

You need:

-5-10 years of civil project management with paving,aggregates, road/base building, asphalt and mix design (marshall) experience.

• Ability to work with field supervisors and staff to coordinate logistics, contract requirements.

• Experience working with civil engineers and consultants.

-Verbal, written communication, mathematical and time management skills are a must.

-Valid driver’s license.

-Be able to work outdoors, long hours, and travel to projects.

-Responsibility for yourself and others in a safety-conscious environment.

Experience:
