GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
CSL USA, part of Sacco System, is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Project Manager to lead the execution of new customer manufacturing projects from order receipt through final shipment. This position will focus primarily on new probiotic blends, custom formulations, and finished-product manufacturing, including encapsulation, bottling, and packaging.

The Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination between customers and internal departments, ensuring projects progress efficiently, milestones are achieved, and customer commitments are met. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, anticipates challenges, drives accountability, and is comfortable working across multiple departments to ensure successful project execution.

Project Ownership & Execution

• Manage new customer projects from purchase order through successful shipment.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate activities required to transition new products into manufacturing.
• Identify and resolve potential delays, resource constraints, and technical issues.
• Track project progress and communicate status, risks, and changes to stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining priorities and accountability.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate projects across Sales, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and Customer Service.
• Ensure departments complete assigned activities on schedule.
• Partner with Production Planning and Operations to establish schedules and ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Coordinate with Procurement to source required ingredients, materials, packaging, and components.
• Lead project meetings, track action items, and follow up on open items.

Product Development & Documentation

• Coordinate the development, review, and approval of product specifications and documentation.
• Work with technical and quality teams on formulations, BOMs, manufacturing instructions, and packaging requirements.
• Ensure materials, documentation, and approvals are complete before production.
• Coordinate new product setup and manufacturing readiness.
• Support the transfer of new products and formulations into commercial manufacturing.

Customer Coordination & Communication

• Serve as the primary project contact for customers during new product implementation.
• Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, milestones, and potential issues.
• Coordinate customer requirements, technical information, specifications, and approvals.
• Establish realistic delivery expectations and ensure internal teams are aligned with customer commitments.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear, responsive communication.
• Escalate issues and coordinate timely resolutions.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve project execution, communication, and lead times.
• Develop and maintain project management tools, timelines, checklists, and reporting.
• Track project performance and identify recurring causes of delays.
• Recommend process improvements that improve efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Food Science, Biology, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience in project management, manufacturing coordination, new product introduction, or related functions.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment involving multiple departments and complex timelines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Experience in dietary supplements, probiotics, nutraceuticals, food ingredients, pharmaceuticals, or contract manufacturing - preferred
• Experience managing new product introductions, custom formulations, or finished-product manufacturing - preferred
• Familiarity with ingredients, packaging components, BOMs, product specifications, and manufacturing documentation - preferred
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing planning processes, preferred
• Knowledge of GMP and food safety or quality management systems, preferred
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus.
