What are we looking for in this position?

We are looking for a commercially astute and hands-on Commercial Manager to take ownership of the commercial position across one or more complex healthcare projects. Working closely with our Project Director, delivery teams, clients and supply chain, you will protect margin, manage contractual and financial risk, and provide the clear reporting needed for confident decision-making. You will be responsible for:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of site activities, coordinating subcontractors, deliveries, logistics, and resources to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
• Lead site health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance, maintaining site records, inductions, briefings, inspections, and Construction Phase Plan requirements.
• Monitor progress against programme, providing daily reporting, photographic updates, and proactive resolution of site issues to maintain project milestones.
• Act as the primary on-site liaison for clients, hospital estates teams, staff, patients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and minimal operational disruption.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including site diaries, quality inspections, testing records, and compliance information to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure works are completed safely, to specification, and in accordance with company management systems, quality standards, and regulatory requirements through to project completion.

What will we need you to have?

• Proven experience managing construction, refurbishment, or healthcare projects on live operational sites, with responsibility for daily site activities and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong working knowledge of construction health and safety requirements, including site inductions, permits, inspections, risk management, and compliance documentation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate site records, and ensure projects remain on programme.
• Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong quality-focused mindset with experience overseeing inspections, testing, snagging, and ensuring works are delivered to specification and regulatory standards.
• Proactive, reliable, and self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, professionally, and on time.
