Project Manager Engineering & Automation (Pharma)

Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organization, is looking for an experienced Project Manager Engineering & Automation to drive strategic engineering projects, manage complex stakeholder environments, and support the development of advanced manufacturing technologies.

Your Responsibilities

Project & Portfolio Management

• Lead engineering and automation projects from concept through implementation.
• Manage project planning, execution, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Support the management of a diverse project portfolio and help prioritize business-critical initiatives.

Coach and support project engineers throughout project lifecycles.

Engineering & Automation

• Drive the design and implementation of GxP-compliant automation solutions.
• Oversee systems such as PLCs, HMI platforms, historian integrations, and equipment connectivity software.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and ensure successful project delivery within a regulated environment.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key point of contact between engineering teams, operations, quality, and senior leadership.
• Ensure clear communication and alignment across multiple stakeholders.
• Deliver transparent project reporting and updates at all organizational levels.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Support team development through coaching, knowledge sharing, and competency building.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

✅ Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

✅ Minimum 10 years of experience within engineering, automation, or technical project environments.

✅ At least 5 years of project management and/or leadership experience.

✅ Strong background in engineering and automation systems.

✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

✅ Experience working in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotech, life sciences, or similar environments is highly desirable.

Nice to Have

• Experience with qualification and validation activities.

• Knowledge of GxP regulations and pharmaceutical compliance standards.

• Systems engineering background.

• Previous people management experience.

• Available on Freelance or Consultancy Basis
