About the Role

SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn. Bhd. is part of a global group headquartered in China, specializing in the design and manufacture of automotive car seat motors and wiper system for leading car manufacturers worldwide. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead full-lifecycle automotive NPI & production transfer projects, manage customer engagement and cross-functional teams, enforce IATF 16949 quality tools while driving on-time, on-budget safe launch and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Full-Lifecycle Project Management：Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; develop detailed master schedules and milestone plans; identify and assess project risks, and formulate risk mitigation strategies.Initiate new projects from the customer enquiry stage, manage all deliverables until project safe launch, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
2. Customer & Commercial Engagement：Communicate directly with customers to deeply understand requirements, order details, and technical specifications; manage all change requests (ECR/ECN) throughout the project cycle, assessing impact on timeline, cost, and quality.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination & Resource Management：Work closely with the Engineering team to lead the development of cost-effective solutions, monitoring investment and product cost from business nomination onward.
4. Quality & Continuous Improvement：Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and MSA to identify potential quality risks and implement preventive controls.
5. Participate in all key meetings throughout the project lifecycle (Kick-off, Design Review, Gate Review, Lesson Learned, etc.) and be responsible for meeting minutes and action item tracking.

Requirements Must-have

• Bachelor's degree or above; majors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• 10+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in the automotive industry (Tier 1 / Tier 2 supplier environment).
• Familiar with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and VDA 6.3 process audit standards.
• Proficient in project management software (MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, or equivalent) for schedule planning, resource allocation, and risk tracking.
• Fluent spoken and written English; capable of independently hosting English meetings, writing English reports, and communicating directly with overseas customers.
