Position Summary

The Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects within a fast-paced high technology engineering and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities, tracking project schedules, managing action items, and ensuring effective communication across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and production teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop project management skills while contributing to the delivery of innovative products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinate project activities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer facing teams
• Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, project plans, action item logs, status reports and follow up on open action items to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
• Schedule and facilitate project meetings and cross-functional reviews
• Prepare project status updates and dashboards for management and stakeholder review
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives align with operational requirements
• Generate project performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Analyze project data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Maintain project databases, tracking systems, and reporting tools

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, materials planning, manufacturing, engineering, operations, or related disciplines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on experience with lithography/patterning of optical waveguide structures.
• Experience in a dynamic high technology engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Experience in creating project schedules and using project management tools
• Experience working on federally funded projects or programs
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
• Technical project experience in engineering, manufacturing, or product development
