We’re Hiring: Project Manager

Location: Malta

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a technical background and a passion for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards?

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects within the fire and security, ELV, MEP, or building services industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships, solving problems, and driving project profitability while ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Delivery

• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate human and material resources to ensure efficient project execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery in line with client specifications and quality standards.
• Identify potential risks and proactively implement solutions to minimise project disruptions.

Financial and Commercial Management

• Monitor project expenditure, including purchasing and material costs, against approved budgets.
• Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability.
• Manage project variations from quotation through to implementation.
• Prepare project reports, analyse costs, and maintain accurate Works in Progress (WIP) records.

Stakeholder and Team Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, consultants, and internal teams.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Coordinate design inputs, project schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Work closely with the Resource Manager to ensure project teams are properly coordinated and supported.

Quality, Compliance, and Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, design standards, and client-specific requirements.
• Oversee project activities in line with applicable industry standards, including ISO and LPCB requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Promote health and safety awareness and ensure that on-site activities comply with applicable local legislation.

What We’re Looking For

• A diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in project coordination, site supervision, or project management, preferably within the fire and security, ELV, MEP, or building services sector.
• A sound understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and project delivery.
• Strong communication, organisational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and managing competing priorities.
• The ability to balance technical requirements, customer satisfaction, project quality, and commercial objectives.

A recognised Project Management qualification or additional training in Project Management would be considered an advantage.
