PROJECT MANAGER

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join WAWASAN EHSAN JAYA SDN. BHD. in Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is integral to our operations and directly impacts our reputation and success in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, initiate and execute construction projects in accordance with project specifications, timelines and budgetary constraints
• Oversee day-to-day project operations and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget compliance
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings and change orders
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure work meets design specifications and industry standards
• Maintain health and safety compliance on all project sites and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, clients and team members to provide regular project updates and address concerns
• Prepare project reports, progress reports and final project documentation
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures and control costs to ensure financial targets are met

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in construction project management
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations and safety standards
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with proven capability to manage diverse teams
• Sound understanding of construction contracts, cost estimation and project budgeting
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
• Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent is preferred
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Malaysia is advantageous
