Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager leads and manages the assigned project from commencement to completion. The goal is to deliver the project safely, within the approved budget and programme, and in line with contractual, technical, quality, QHSSE and statutory requirements. The role covers coordinating project resources, managing risks, monitoring progress and cost, overseeing subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining good communication with clients, consultants and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage project execution from commencement to completion in line with project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and programme, identify delays and carry out recovery actions.
• Monitor project costs and budget to minimise cost overruns and make good use of resources.
• Manage contractual matters, including Variation Orders (VO), Extension of Time (EOT) and claims, with the relevant departments.
• Ensure project activities comply with Company QHSSE requirements, approved drawings, specifications, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Identify and monitor project risks and opportunities, and carry out mitigation actions.
• Maintain good communication and working relationships with clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Submit project progress, cost, manpower, production and other management reports on time.

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with proven project management experience.
• Experience in piling, foundation, infrastructure or building projects is preferred.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Good knowledge of contracts and commercial matters, cost control, risk management, and project planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 is an added advantage.
