About the role

To lead, manage and coordinate the SG Rasau Water Treatment Project in Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor, ensuring that all project activities are planned, executed, monitored and completed in accordance with the agreed project scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, safety requirements and applicable laws and regulations. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing site operations, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and relevant stakeholders, managing project resources and risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of the project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor project plans, work schedules, milestones and execution strategies to ensure the timely and successful delivery of the SG Rasau Water Treatment Project
• Monitor and supervise daily site activities and overall project progress against the approved work programme, identifying delays and implementing corrective actions where necessary
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and other relevant infrastructure works to ensure smooth execution and integration of project activities
• Oversee the construction and installation activities associated with the water treatment project, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, design requirements and project standards
• Monitor project expenditure, resource utilisation, material costs and subcontractor costs to ensure compliance with the approved budget and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Ensure the availability and efficient utilisation of manpower, equipment, materials and other resources required to meet project milestones and operational requirements
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to ensure that their work meets the required quality standards, safety requirements and agreed project timelines
• Ensure that all project works comply with approved specifications, construction drawings, inspection and test requirements, and applicable quality management procedures
• Identify, assess and manage potential project risks, technical issues, site constraints and operational challenges, implementing appropriate mitigation measures to minimise disruption to project delivery
• Maintain effective communication with the client, consultants, contractors, project team and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues and ensure alignment with project objectives

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant discipline
• Minimum Eight (8) years of working experience in project management, construction, infrastructure development or a related field
• Willing to work 5.5 Working Days Per Week.
• Experience in water treatment plants, water infrastructure, civil engineering or infrastructure construction projects will be an advantage
• Professional project management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), will be an advantage or a requirement where specified by the Company
• Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, risk management and project execution
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, construction plans and project schedules
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making and team management skills
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and employees at all levels
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
