Transfer Agency Project Manager – Fund Launches & Migrations

Location: Luxembourg (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Daily Rate: €700 per day

Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension

Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Transfer Agency Project Manager to join a leading financial services organisation in Luxembourg on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on project manager with strong Transfer Agency expertise to lead complex fund launches, migrations and new business onboarding initiatives across a diverse range of investment structures.

You will work closely with clients, senior stakeholders and cross-functional operational teams to deliver successful fund implementations, develop robust TA operating models and ensure smooth transitions into business-as-usual operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Transfer Agency projects, including fund, sub-fund and share class launches, as well as complex fund migrations.
• Manage new client onboarding and fund implementation projects across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate across Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting, Custody and other operational teams.
• Review and contribute to fund documentation, including prospectuses, articles of incorporation and application forms.
• Engage directly with clients, external stakeholders and senior management to manage requirements, risks and delivery expectations.
• Design and implement Transfer Agency operating models for new clients and evolving fund requirements.
• Coordinate fund setup and configuration across Transfer Agency platforms.
• Deliver fund lifecycle events, including restructurings, name changes, dealing cycle changes and liquidations.
• Manage the transition of new funds and operational changes into production environments.
• Train and support operational teams on new fund structures, processes and operating models.
• Drive project governance, stakeholder communication and delivery against agreed milestones.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience managing complex Transfer Agency projects within fund administration, asset servicing or investment services.
• Strong track record delivering fund launches, fund migrations and/or new business onboarding.
• In-depth understanding of Transfer Agency operating models, fund structures and operational processes.
• Experience with Luxembourg and cross-border fund structures, including UCITS, RAIFs, SIFs, ELTIFs and Private Equity/Real Estate funds .
• Ability to review fund legal and operational documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including direct interaction with clients and senior management.
• Experience coordinating multiple operational teams, including TA, Fund Accounting and Custody.
• Knowledge of fund setup, implementation and production handover within TA platforms.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with Multifonds Transfer Agency platforms.
• Fluency in German.
• Knowledge of retrocessions and trailer fees.
• Previous hands-on Transfer Agency operations experience covering AML/KYC, Registration, Dealing and Cash.
• Technical experience involving system migrations, testing, UAT and advanced Excel.
