Project Manager - PEGA

Optomi, in partnership with a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Pega Manager to support a large-scale banking modernization initiative focused on Pega application upgrades, dispute processing, and regulatory compliance.

This role will oversee the upgrade of three Pega applications supporting a major credit card and savings portfolio. The initiative includes upgrading the Pega platform and underlying infrastructure, managing complex system integrations, and implementing Mastercard regulatory compliance requirements. The ideal candidate brings extensive banking and financial services experience, strong knowledge of dispute workflows, and a proven track record of managing large-scale Pega programs. This is a project management-focused role with no hands-on development required.

Location: Richardson, TX (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite per week)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (W2 only)

Required Experience:

• 8+ years of experience working with Pega and managing Pega-related projects.
• Manager-level experience in consulting, banking, or financial services, leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end Pega upgrades, migrations, or modernization programs.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end credit card transaction lifecycle, including authorization, payment processing, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, dispute resolution, collections, and recoveries.
• Experience with Mastercard dispute workflows, processing requirements, and downstream integrations.
• Experience managing complex system dependencies and integrations across upstream and downstream applications.
• Understanding of workflow orchestration, API integrations, event-driven architectures, and enterprise process automation.
• Strong program management, executive communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.
• Experience partnering with business operations, technology teams, enterprise architects, and external vendors.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Pega Smart Dispute.
• Experience with Pega Collections.
• Experience supporting Mastercard dispute processing.
• Experience with digital wallet ecosystems.
• Familiarity with enterprise case management modernization in banking and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of Pega application upgrades, including planning, execution, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Manage the upgrade of three Pega applications, coordinating the active workstream and subsequent application upgrades.
• Oversee application and infrastructure modernization activities, ensuring dependencies, risks, and milestones are effectively managed.
• Coordinate business and technical teams to support dispute processing workflows across credit card and savings products.
• Manage integrations and dependencies across upstream and downstream systems.
• Drive implementation of Mastercard regulatory compliance requirements.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical leads to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
• Monitor project progress, resolve delivery roadblocks, and communicate status, risks, and issues to executive stakeholders.
• Coordinate across consulting and client teams to deliver program objectives within established timelines.
