Job Description The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of ERP implementation and transformation projects for Embridge clients: on time, within budget, to agreed scope and quality, and to the business outcomes the client expects.
The role leads the project team of consultants, trainers and client resources day to day, owns the project plan, budget, risks and change control, and is the main day-to-day contact for the client throughout the project.
Project Managers deliver using Embridge’s methodology, with Elastic Change and Emotionally Intelligent (EQ) Leadership built in, so that clients are supported through the people and organisational side of change, not just the technology.
Elastic Change is Embridge’s approach to transformation. It recognises that change is rarely linear: client priorities, pressures and technology shift over time, so delivery must adapt without losing control or commercial discipline.
Benefits of Embridge
- 25 days paid holiday plus
- Competitive salaries
- Health benefits and paid volunteer days
- Pension contribution
- Excellent career progression
- Unit4 certifications
Key Responsibilities Include Project Delivery
- Plan, mobilise and deliver ERP implementation and transformation projects using Embridge’s delivery methodology.
- Own the project plan, milestones and dependencies, and keep them up to date.
- Lead the project team day to day, setting clear priorities and expectations for consultants, trainers and client resources.
- Work with the Resource Manager to secure the right people at the right time, and flag capacity issues early.
- Make sure business outcomes and success measures are agreed with the client at mobilisation and tracked through the project.
- Escalate delivery risks to the Head of Delivery and Change early, with a clear view of impact and options.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main day-to-day contact for the client, building trusted relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Run project boards and steering groups, and present progress, risks and decisions clearly to senior client stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations throughout the project, and handle difficult conversations constructively.
- Monitor client satisfaction and act early where the relationship or delivery is at risk.
- Keep the Account Manager and Customer Success Manager informed of client health, risks and opportunities.
Commercial and Financial Control
- Own the project budget and deliver to the agreed margin.
- Keep accurate monthly forecasts of effort, cost and revenue, and explain variances.
- Manage scope and change control, raising change requests for anything outside the agreed Statement of Work.
- Spot and act on scope creep, revenue leakage and commercial risk.
- Make sure work is delivered in line with contractual commitments and the agreed Statement of Work.
Governance, Risk and Quality
- Apply Embridge’s project governance standards, quality gates and reporting cadence on every project.
- Maintain the RAID log, project reporting and documentation to the standards set by the Head of Delivery & Change.
- Provide accurate project data for monthly portfolio reviews and PMO compliance checks.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to improving Embridge’s methodology, templates and playbooks.
Elastic Change and Adoption
- Build stakeholder engagement, change management and user adoption into project plans, working with the Training and Adoption team.
- Use EQ Leadership to lead clients and project teams through change, recognising the human and organisational side of ERP transformation.
- Adapt the delivery approach as client circumstances change, without losing control of scope, time or cost.
Handovers and Collaboration
- Take a structured handover from Sales and Pre-Sales at kick-off, confirming scope, commitments and assumptions.
- Plan go-live and hypercare, and complete a formal handover to Support, Service Delivery and Customer Success.
- Provide delivery input to proposals, estimates and Statements of Work when asked by Sales or the Head of Delivery and Change.
- Share client insight and potential opportunities with Account Management
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
