Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing residential or commercial roofing and exterior remodeling projects from contract execution through final completion. This position ensures every project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to JB West's quality standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The Project Manager serves as the primary contact between customers, sales representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments. This role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding workmanship on every project.

Primary ResponsibilitiesProject Management

• Manage roofing, siding, gutter, window, and exterior remodeling projects from production scheduling through final completion.
• Review project documentation, contracts, permits, specifications, and material requirements prior to installation.
• Schedule crews, subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, dumpsters, and equipment.
• Coordinate project timelines to maximize production efficiency while meeting customer expectations.
• Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout the construction process.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and company quality standards.

Customer Experience

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout construction.
• Conduct pre-construction meetings to review project expectations.
• Provide regular project updates and proactively communicate schedule changes.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Perform final walkthroughs with customers to ensure complete satisfaction.
• Maintain the high level of customer service that reflects the JB West brand.

Field Operations

• Conduct jobsite inspections before, during, and after installation.
• Verify crews follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time.
• Verify workmanship meets JB West quality standards.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective action when necessary.
• Maintain organized and clean jobsites.

Quality Control

• Complete quality inspections at critical phases of each project.
• Verify manufacturer installation requirements are followed.
• Document project progress with photos and detailed job notes.
• Ensure punch-list items are completed promptly.

Team Coordination

• Build strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in production meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor field personnel as needed.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate project files and documentation.
• Approve invoices and verify subcontractor completion.
• Track change orders and communicate cost impacts.
• Submit inspection reports and close-out documentation.

QualificationsRequired

• 3+ years of project management experience in roofing, construction, or exterior remodeling.
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, siding, gutters, windows, and exterior construction methods.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Experience reading construction plans and specifications.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
