Project Manager | Battery Storage | Fully remote within Germany

Description:

Our client is a Berlin-based energy company that designs, finances and operates battery storage and EV charging at renewable energy sites. They are looking for a Project Manager with a strong electrical background to take battery storage projects from signed site to running system.

Fluent German is essential for this role.

The projects

Most projects install battery storage at former biogas plants, where the grid connection and transformers are already in place. Others add storage to existing solar parks. Once the site owner and grid approval are secured, you take over and run the project through to commissioning.

What you will do

• Own one major project end to end: timeline, budget and scope
• Coordinate the site owner, installation contractors and the technical implementation
• Keep all stakeholders informed and represent the company professionally on site
• Maintain clear project documentation and day-to-day quality management
• Support the sales team with technical assessment and planning of new projects

What you bring

• An electrical background: a degree in electrical engineering, or a Techniker or Meister qualification
• Familiarity with the relevant electrical standards (e.g. VDE)
• Experience in energy projects such as battery storage, solar, biogas or grid connection
• Fluent German (C1 or above), spoken and written
• The ability to work fully independently and make decisions
• A customer-focused, professional manner

Formal project management experience is welcome but not required. Strong electrical knowledge and independence count for more.

• €80,000 to €90,000 base salary, with bonus potential after a successful year

• Remote working possible, with Berlin or Hannover preferred, plus site visits for key milestones, mainly in northern Germany

Interview process

Two interviews: first with the Managing Director, then with the Sales Director.
