Position: Senior Project Manager / Leader

Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)

Client Location: Toronto ( Onsite : 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Leader to lead and deliver complex enterprise-wide audio-visual, videoconferencing, telecommunications, and I&IT initiatives within a public sector environment. The successful consultant will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, implementation, stakeholder engagement, risk management, change management, and project close-out activities.

This role requires extensive experience delivering medium to large-scale technology projects involving audio-visual systems, videoconferencing platforms, telecommunications infrastructure, VoIP solutions, and enterprise technology deployments while managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and technical teams.

Scope

• Develop project charters, project plans, schedules, structures, and communication plans.
• Coordinate procurement activities involving hardware, software, telecommunications circuits, bandwidth, and professional services.
• Manage relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, external service providers, vendors, and contractors.
• Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies while providing ongoing executive reporting.

Assignment Deliverables

• Project Charter and Project Kick-Off Documentation.
• Procurement Planning Documentation covering software, hardware, networking, and telecommunications requirements.
• Risk Assessments and Mitigation Plans.
• Project Communication Plans and Stakeholder Engagement Strategies.
• Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Detailed Project Schedules.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience delivering complex I&IT initiatives.
• Minimum 5 years of audio-visual and videoconferencing technology experience.
• Experience managing medium to large-scale enterprise technology deployments involving audio-visual, telecommunications, and networking solutions.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, and project lifecycle management.
• Experience developing project charters, project plans, schedules, risk registers, communication plans, and status reporting frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, resources, vendors, and contractual agreements.
• Strong understanding of change management principles and organizational readiness strategies.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of cloud technologies, high-availability infrastructure, and enterprise security practices.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Prosci Change Management, or equivalent project management credentials.
