Project Manager – Job Description
Oct 17, 2026 · @Mark Blyashuk - 7169909929
About the role
iBuild is a growing Buffalo roofing, siding and gutter contractor, on track for about 500 projects this year. We're hiring a full-time Project Manager to run production: every job from signed contract to final walkthrough.
You'll lead 2–4 installation crews and their supervisors, keep the schedule tight, and make sure every job finishes on time, on budget and to our quality standard. You report directly to the owner.
What you'll do
You'll run roofing, siding and gutter jobs from sale to final sign-off, with five core responsibilities.
1. Material orders
- Review every material order for accuracy before it goes to the supplier
- Confirm quantities, colors and delivery dates match the job
- Fix shortages, wrong deliveries and returns fast
2. Quality control
- Inspect roofing, siding and gutter installs during and after each job
- Hold crews and subcontractors to iBuild's installation standards
- Handle callbacks and warranty work, and complete final walkthroughs
3. Weekly scheduling
- Build next week's schedule of jobs and crews in Jobber every week
- Adjust for weather, material delays and crew availability
- Keep crews busy, including through Buffalo winters
4. Client communication
- Be the homeowner's main contact once a job is sold
- Give clear updates on start dates, progress and any changes
- Resolve concerns and complaints professionally
5. Job profitability
- Make sure every job stays within its gross profit target
- Track labor and material costs against the budget
- Problem-solve on the spot when jobs hit surprises, and approve change orders
Subcontractors
- Recruit, hire and test new subcontractors with trial jobs before giving them regular work
- Evaluate subs on quality, speed, reliability and cost
What you bring
Required
- 3+ years in residential exteriors, including 1+ year running jobs or leading crews
- Working knowledge of roofing, siding and gutter installation
- Able to read job budgets, check material takeoffs and protect gross profit
- Organized problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and responds quickly
- Strong communicator with homeowners, crews and subcontractors
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to climb ladders and walk roofs for inspections
Preferred
- Experience hiring and managing subcontractors
- Jobber or similar field-service software
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Pay and benefits
- Base salary: [40,,000–80,000 per year]
- Per-job bonus: [3% per completed job / tied to gross margin]
- Company vehicle: yes
- gas allowance: company card
- Paid time off and holidays
- Full-time, Monday–Friday plus some Saturdays during peak season
- Room to grow as we add crews and foreman positions
Pay: $70,200.00 - $114,700.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company truck
- Fuel card
