We need a project manager to take awarded jobs from handoff to closeout: on schedule, on budget and with clean paperwork.

What you’ll do

• Take over awarded jobs from estimating, review the contract and budget, and run the kickoff.
• Build and maintain job schedules, and coordinate crews with the field supervisor and foremen.
• Order materials and long-lead equipment with purchasing, and manage submittals and RFIs.
• Be the main contact for owners and general contractors: NYSDOT, municipalities, counties and GCs.
• Identify changes early, document them, and get change orders priced (with estimating) and approved.
• Track costs against budget and forecast margin monthly.
• Provide monthly billing quantities and schedule-of-values updates to accounts receivable.
• Keep prevailing wage, certified payroll, MWBE and safety requirements on track.
• Close out jobs: punch lists, as-builts, warranties and final billing.

What you need

• At least 5 years managing construction projects, ideally electrical or public works.
• Experience running several jobs at once, from contract through closeout.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of change orders, cost tracking and progress billing.
• Strong Excel and written communication.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites across the region.

Nice to have

• Traffic signal, ITS or roadway lighting experience.
• Experience with NYSDOT standard specifications and municipal owners.
• OSHA 30 or IMSA certification.
• Sage 300 CRE or Procore experience.

• Base salary $80,000–$140,000 depending on experience, plus a bonus tied to job performance.
