Project Manager

Job Summary

The jobholder is responsible for supporting the Projects Program Manager in day-to-day project execution duties

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting the contract in completion of planned project activities.

• Monitor project progress and ensure all activities are completed in the required timeline.

• Ensure Contractor obtains all required approvals for all project documentation.

• Manage all project internal and external interfaces.

• Update and review progress on a weekly basis and highlight areas of concern that require intervention.

• Prepare and issue weekly progress reports for projects.

• Prepare periodic slides for executive management presentation.

Project management support .

• Support Project Manager in project execution, field visits, and technical project review.

• Compile inputs to prepare project planning reports.

Retrofit implementation support

• Support in supervising the ESCOs responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of projects.

• Support in the Project Manager in managing the relationship with the Government entity.

Post-retrofit support

• Support the supervision of O&M services provided.

• Support the Project Manager in ensuring that the performance guarantees are satisfied.

• Liaise with Finance / Legal to resolve any issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or any related field

• CEM / CMVP certification is preferred.

• SEC designer or installer solar certification is preferred

Experience & Skills

-Minimum of 4 years in a project management role with responsibility for the performance of contractors; preferably with retrofit experience within ESCO (or EPC) industry experience

-Interpersonal: Professional proficiency of English required; fluency in Arabic is a must; effective communication skills (written and verbal); effective time management skills; ability to manage concurrent projects

-Technical: Technical knowledge relating to building retrofits and potential savings
