Project Manager

Location: Bloemfontein, Free State

Proper Consulting Engineers is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Project Manager to oversee a water infrastructure project in the Free State.

We are seeking a proactive, results-driven professional with strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate and manage multiple contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualifications: B.Eng. or B.Tech. in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Professional Registration: Registered with CESA.
• Additional Advantage: SACPCMP registration will be an added advantage.
• Availability: Must be able to start as soon as possible.
• Location: Must be based in, or willing to work in, Bloemfontein.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate four contractors working on a water infrastructure project.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Ensure work is executed in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate communication between contractors, consultants, the client, and other stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, resolve site-related challenges, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates on project performance.
• Ensure the project is delivered efficiently and in accordance with agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple contractors and drive project delivery in a demanding infrastructure environment.
