Description

Our client, a growing technology services company in the information technology sector, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure and field services projects. This is an onsite direct hire opportunity in Alpharetta, GA. The role supports complex deployments across multi-location environments and works closely with customers, engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

What you'll do

• Lead IT professional services and field services projects from kickoff through completion.
• Manage deployments involving networking, wireless, low-voltage cabling, data centers, infrastructure refreshes, hardware installations, and end-user computing.
• Build and maintain project schedules, resource plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate multiple customer deployments across different locations and U.S. time zones.
• Track project risks, issues, escalations, and corrective actions to keep work on schedule.
• Identify, vet, schedule, and coordinate field engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and service partners.
• Match technical resources to project needs based on skills, certifications, location, and availability.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, internal operations, and technical teams.
• Lead status meetings, kickoff calls, and escalation conversations with clear written and verbal updates.
• Monitor project budgets, labor usage, costs, forecasts, and change orders while maintaining accurate documentation.

What you bring

• Approximately 5+ years of IT project management experience.
• Experience managing IT professional services, infrastructure, field services, or technology deployment projects.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale or multi-location deployments.
• Strong understanding of networking, wireless infrastructure, servers, switches, firewalls, data centers, and low-voltage cabling.
• Experience with end-user computing and hardware deployments.
• Experience coordinating engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and service partners.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project scheduling, risk management, resource planning, status reporting, and change management.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and technical resources simultaneously.
• Excellent professional English communication skills, written and verbal.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure projects valued at a similar scale to large enterprise deployments.
• Experience with project financials, resource-rate negotiations, and change orders.
• Background in IT professional services, systems integration, managed services, telecom or data centers.
• Experience supporting national or multi-location technology rollouts.
• Familiarity with enterprise deployment environments.
