About the Opportunity

We are at a pivotal point in our growth across the Mid-Atlantic region and are one year into a strategic, three-year enterprise replatforming initiative. Because we are modernizing our core operating platforms, ERP, data warehouse (Databricks), and analytics tools (Power BI) within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment, our Business Systems team is our most strategic and crucial asset over the next two years.

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Systems, the IT Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end execution of complex software implementations and enterprise integrations across our corporate headquarters, ready-mix batch plants, aggregate quarries, and asphalt terminals.

Important Note on What We Need: In our environment, pure checklist project management without hands-on business analysis skills does not work. We are looking for a hybrid professional-either an IT Project Manager with strong, hands-on Business Analysis (BA) and SDLC skills, or a Senior Business Analyst with proven Project Management execution capabilities. You must be comfortable gathering requirements, translating business needs into technical designs, overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and driving projects from ideation through final cutover.

What You Will Do

Project Planning & Full SDLC Execution

• End-to-End Project Delivery: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans covering scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation for complex enterprise implementations.
• SDLC Governance: Guide project teams through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)—from initial discovery and requirements gathering through change management, testing, and go-live.
• Kickoffs & Alignment: Lead project kickoff meetings to align internal teams, executives, and third-party implementation partners on objectives and deliverables.

Business Analysis, Requirements & Implementation Oversight

• Translate Business to Tech: Collaborate closely with business and operational leaders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable project plans, workflows, and technical designs.
• Enterprise Platform Integrations: Oversee the implementation of industry-based operating solutions and ensure seamless integration with core enterprise platforms, including ERP systems, data warehouses (Databricks), mobile applications, and business intelligence tools (Power BI).
• Risk & Issue Resolution: Proactively identify project and scope risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve bottlenecks to keep multi-site implementations on track.

Quality Assurance, UAT & Change Management

• Testing & Validation: Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure deployed solutions meet all business requirements and quality standards.
• Lead UAT: Coordinate and direct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business end-users, gathering post-test feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Training & Adoption: Support the creation of end-user training materials and documentation, assisting with change management initiatives to ensure smooth organizational adoption of new systems.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional project teams—including Business Analysts, internal engineers, and external systems integrators—fostering a collaborative culture of accountability.
• Executive Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for program and executive stakeholders, delivering clear, data-backed updates on project status, milestones, risks, and issues.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management and/or Lead Business Analysis, with a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise software implementations, system integrations, and business intelligence solutions.
• Hybrid PM/BA Skillset (Must-Have): Hands-on experience across the full SDLC, including business process analysis, requirements gathering, UAT coordination, and translating business workflows into technical solutions.
• Platform & Integration Background: Demonstrated experience implementing operating platforms that integrate with ERP systems, cloud data warehouses, and analytics platforms. Experience supporting multi-site industrial, construction, materials handling, logistics, or manufacturing operations is a strong plus.
• Methodologies & Tools: Strong command of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and SDLC tracking tools (such as Azure DevOps or Jira).
• Communication & Culture Fit: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. We want a collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across departments and excels at bridging the gap between field/business operations and IT.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or PMP/Scrum/BA certifications are a plus).
