We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the accelerated rollout of Collision Avoidance System technology across a major mining operation.

The project is already underway and is now moving into an accelerated delivery phase, creating the need for an additional Project Manager to help coordinate the rollout across a large fleet of mobile mining equipment.

The technology is being installed across equipment including haul trucks, graders, medium vehicles and other mobile plant operating across site.
This will predominantly be a site based position, with some time also spent in the Brisbane office.

The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Collision Avoidance System rollout and coordinating closely with operations, maintenance, technology teams and other key stakeholders.
A major part of the role will be planning access to mobile equipment for hardware and software installation while minimising disruption to mining operations.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating the rollout of Collision Avoidance System technology across mobile mining equipment
• Working closely with operations and maintenance teams to schedule equipment access
• Coordinating installation activities around operational and production requirements
• Managing project schedules, priorities, risks, actions and milestones
• Tracking installation progress across the mobile fleet
• Identifying delivery constraints and working with stakeholders to resolve them
• Coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders across site and Brisbane
• Supporting project planning, reporting and governance requirements
• Managing competing priorities in a live mining environment
• Ensuring project activities remain aligned with operational requirements and delivery timeframes
• Supporting the broader implementation and integration of the system across the operation

About You
We are looking for someone with strong Project Management capability and practical experience working around mining operations and mobile equipment.
You will ideally have:

• Demonstrated Project Management experience within mining, resources or heavy industry
• Experience working with mobile mining equipment such as haul trucks, graders, ancillary equipment or heavy mobile plant
• Strong stakeholder management skills across operations and maintenance teams
• Experience delivering projects within an operational mine site environment
• Strong planning, coordination and problem solving capability
• The ability to manage equipment access around production requirements
• Confidence working with operational leaders, maintenance personnel, technical teams and contractors
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple work fronts and competing priorities
  Experience in any of the following areas would be highly regarded:
• Collision avoidance systems
• Mining technology or mining systems
• Fleet management systems
• Technology implementation projects
• Mobile maintenance
• Heavy mobile equipment projects
• Operational technology
• Hardware and software installation programs
  Candidates do not need to come from a pure technology background.
  Someone with strong mining Project Management experience, particularly across mobile equipment, maintenance or operational projects, could be very well suited to the position.
