Project Manager - Commercial Construction

SEMCO Construction is a third-generation, family-owned general contractor and construction manager in Bartow, Florida. We have spent more than 50 years building schools, government, and institutional projects across Central Florida. This role is built for a project manager who wants to grow both personally and professionally.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage assigned commercial construction projects from award through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, and take corrective action when needed
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Prepare owner pay applications and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices
• Write subcontracts and manage buyout with the project team
• Produce monthly project reports covering schedule, cost, and risk
• Coordinate closely with the Superintendent on field execution, quality, and safety
• Manage the closeout process: punch list, warranties, O&M manuals, and owner turnover

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction project management experience
• Experience with public-sector owners preferred: school districts, municipalities, state agencies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management software (Procore)
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Authorized to work in the United States

Pay: $70,000.00 - $101,000.00 per year
