Project Manager - Construction

Patterson & Dewar Engineers is seeking a project manager to join our construction management team in our Norcross, GA office.

Responsibilities

· Plan, organize, supervise and manage telecommunication, commercial and light industrial construction projects ranging in size from $500,000 to $15,000,000

· Solicit services from architects, engineers, consultants and construction subcontractors for ground-up facilities, renovations, expansions and electrical/mechanical upgrades

· Design and construction document review

· Analyze bids and conduct contract negotiations

· Establish and maintain project schedules and budgets while ensuring building code compliance and quality control

· Project estimating, document preparation and materials purchases

· Oversee and maintain critical path project management including RFI's, submittals, and change orders

· Design-build negotiations, land purchases and development agreements

· Public utility and telecommunication facilities and land development infrastructure

Skills and Qualifications

· 15+ years of experience of project management experience with construction

· Proficiency with Microsoft® Office (required), and Office 365, Microsoft Project and SharePoint (preferred)

· Service-oriented attitude

· Excellent communication skills

· Attention to detail, excellent grammar

· Effective problem-solving skills

· Strong organizational skills

This position may require occasional travel (approximately 25-30% of the time). Project managers may be asked to work extended hours occasionally in order to meet project deadlines. Candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.
