Project Manager (Construction)

About the role

This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead construction projects from conception through completion. As Construction Manager, you will be the driving force behind job sites, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality. This role is critical to success, as you will directly impact project profitability, team performance, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with site safety regulations and company policies
• Manage labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors to maintain project schedules and budgets
• Conduct daily site inspections and resolve technical issues that arise during construction
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, timesheets, and safety documentation
• Communicate effectively with project director, clients, architects and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project requirements
• Train and mentor construction crew members, fostering a culture of safety and professional excellence
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all construction phases
• Manage site safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks to minimise risks and accidents
• Order and track materials and equipment to prevent project delays
• Produce construction progress reports

About you

• Familiarity with landed house construction processes and BCA requirements
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in construction supervision or a similar leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations and building codes in Singapore
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Sound understanding of project budgeting, cost control and resource management
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage teams and liaise with various stakeholders
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and solve problems effectively
• Physical capability to work on construction sites and perform hands-on tasks when necessary
