PROJECT MANAGER CUM PLANNER

JOB REPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop detailed project plans, construction schedules, work programmes, and project timelines.
• Oversee and coordinate hotel construction, renovation, refurbishment, and upgrading works.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, milestones, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify potential project delays, technical issues, and construction risks, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and update project schedules, progress reports, cost reports, and other project documentation.
• Monitor project costs, resource allocation, and variations to ensure effective budget control.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate construction activities to minimise disruption to hotel operations, where applicable.
• Ensure timely completion, testing, commissioning, handover, and rectification of defects.
• Strong leadership, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage project deadlines, and resolve site-related issues effectively.
• Willingness to travel and attend project sites as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management and construction planning.
• Experience in hotel construction, renovation, refurbishment, or hospitality-related development projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and site coordination.
• Proficient in project planning software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, and work programmes.
• Salary: RM7,000 – RM12,000 or above, depending on experience
