Project Manager (Data Center)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Data Centre Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, coordination and delivery of data centre projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and resource allocation through construction, implementation, testing, commissioning and final client acceptance. This role requires strong project management capabilities, technical understanding of mission-critical data centre infrastructure, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning, handover and final acceptance
• Develop and implement detailed project execution plans, schedules, milestones, resource requirements and delivery strategies
• Establish project objectives, deliverables and performance indicators in alignment with contractual requirements and client expectations
• Monitor overall project progress and ensure activities are completed according to agreed timelines
• Develop project budgets, cost estimates, resource allocation plans and expenditure forecasts
• Monitor project expenses and ensure costs remain within approved budgets
• Oversee project activities involving data centre infrastructure, including electrical power systems, cooling infrastructure, networking and related engineering systems
• Coordinate with engineering teams, technical specialists, consultants and contractors to ensure project requirements are properly understood and implemented
• Act as a key coordination point among clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments
• Ensure project activities comply with relevant safety regulations, statutory requirements and company policies

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in data centre development, critical facilities, mission-critical infrastructure or large-scale engineering projects
• Proven experience managing projects from planning through execution, delivery and final handover
• Previous exposure to large-scale data centre construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience in data centre construction and infrastructure project delivery
• Experience with mission-critical facilities and large-scale engineering developments
• Experience in electrical, mechanical and cooling infrastructure project coordination
• Experience managing multidisciplinary contractors, consultants and technical stakeholders
• Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, cost optimisation and risk management
