This role requires strong project management capabilities, technical understanding of mission-critical data centre infrastructure, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale data centre or mission-critical facilities projects, with a solid understanding of power distribution, cooling systems, networking infrastructure and technical project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Management

  • Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning, handover and final acceptance.
  • Develop and implement detailed project execution plans, schedules, milestones, resource requirements and delivery strategies.
  • Establish project objectives, deliverables and performance indicators in alignment with contractual requirements and client expectations.
  • Monitor overall project progress and ensure activities are completed according to agreed timelines.
  • Identify potential project delays and implement corrective actions to minimise disruptions.

  • Develop project budgets, cost estimates, resource allocation plans and expenditure forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
  • Track project financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
  • Review project variations, additional work requirements and their potential impact on budgets and schedules.
  • Provide management with regular updates on project expenditures, financial risks and cost performance.

3. Technical Coordination & Project Execution

  • Oversee project activities involving data centre infrastructure, including electrical power systems, cooling infrastructure, networking and related engineering systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, technical specialists, consultants and contractors to ensure project requirements are properly understood and implemented.
  • Review project implementation plans, technical progress and construction activities to ensure alignment with approved specifications.
  • Support coordination of installation, integration, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure technical issues are escalated and resolved promptly to prevent project delays.

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as a key coordination point among clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Organise and lead project coordination meetings, progress reviews and technical discussions.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor performance against agreed project schedules, quality standards and deliverables.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials and other project resources to support smooth execution.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure timely decisions and issue resolution.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure project activities comply with relevant safety regulations, statutory requirements and company policies.
  • Work closely with engineering, QAQC and HSE teams to maintain project quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor quality performance and ensure identified defects or non-conformances are addressed appropriately.
  • Support project inspections, quality audits and compliance assessments.
  • Promote a strong safety culture among project teams, contractors and relevant stakeholders.

6. Risk Management & Problem Resolution

  • Identify, assess and manage project risks relating to schedule, budget, resources, technical execution and safety.
  • Establish appropriate risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Address project challenges proactively and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage changes in project scope, specifications and delivery requirements through appropriate review and approval processes.
  • Escalate critical project issues to senior management with clear recommendations and proposed solutions.

7. Project Documentation & Management Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organised project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, meeting minutes, technical records and project correspondence.
  • Prepare regular project status reports covering progress, budget performance, risks, challenges and corrective actions.
