Heron is a growing multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and consultancy firm based in South Jakarta, Indonesia. We provide integrated professional services across architecture, engineering, and project delivery.

As Heron expands into Project Management Consultancy (PMC), we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead data center project delivery, coordinate stakeholders, and help establish our PMC capabilities in Indonesia. The project location is Purwakarta, West Java.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management and Delivery

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of data center projects from design development through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Establish and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and delivery plans.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with client requirements, approved designs, contractual obligations, and quality standards.

2. Design and Technical Coordination

• Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other specialist disciplines.
• Review design deliverables, technical submissions, shop drawings, and material submissions for coordination and compliance with project requirements.
• Manage design interfaces, technical queries, design changes, and resolution of site coordination issues.
• Coordinate critical data center systems, including power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, fire protection, BMS, and other mission-critical infrastructure.

3. Construction and Site Management

• Oversee contractors, consultants, and specialist vendors to ensure work is delivered according to the approved programme and specifications.
• Conduct project progress meetings, site inspections, coordination meetings, and regular reporting.
• Monitor construction quality, site safety, installation progress, and compliance with approved drawings and method statements.
• Identify construction risks, interface conflicts, and potential delays, and drive timely resolution with the relevant parties.

4. Project Controls and Reporting

• Develop and maintain master schedules, look-ahead programmes, progress trackers, risk registers, and action lists.
• Monitor project costs, variations, change orders, and potential cost overruns.
• Prepare clear and concise progress reports for clients and senior management.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, correspondence, and decision records.

5. Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for critical MEP systems and integrated building systems.
• Monitor commissioning milestones, defect rectification, and completion of outstanding works.
• Coordinate with commissioning authorities, contractors, vendors, and client representatives to support system testing and integrated systems testing.
• Oversee documentation, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, training, and final handover.

6. PMC Business and Team Development

• Help establish Heron's PMC processes, project management standards, reporting templates, and operating procedures.
• Support proposal preparation, project planning, resource allocation, and client presentations.
• Build effective working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and technology vendors.
• Contribute to the development and future growth of Heron's PMC division.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant project management or construction management experience, preferably in MEP-intensive projects.
• Experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial facilities, or other complex infrastructure projects. Direct data center experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple disciplines, contractors, consultants, and specialist vendors.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction sequencing, project scheduling, risk management, and quality control.
• Familiarity with data center power and cooling systems, redundancy concepts, testing and commissioning, and integrated systems testing is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and other project reporting tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good written and spoken English for communication with international clients and project teams.
• Able to work independently, take ownership of project outcomes, and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a PMC, owner's project management, EPC, or main contractor environment.
• Experience with Tier III data center projects or equivalent mission-critical facilities.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognized project management certification.
• Familiarity with Indonesian construction regulations, permitting, and local project delivery practices.
• Experience with commissioning management, including CxL1–L5 activities and integrated systems testing.
