Duties

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to coordinate construction timelines effectively.
• Review construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to verify accuracy and compliance with electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs, preparing estimates with Construction estimating tools, and controlling expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee procurement processes including managing contracts, reviewing and preparing bids, and coordinating material deliveries.
• Facilitate permitting phases for local authorities and ensuring permit has been filed.
• Coordinate construction activities on-site, supervising electrical systems installation, system design implementation, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections to review construction progress, quality control measures, and compliance with design specifications.
• Lead project meetings to communicate updates, resolve issues promptly, and maintain momentum toward project milestones.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical building codes, NFPA 70 standards, and other relevant regulations while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.

Skills

• 8-10 years experience managing electrical construction projects with a solid understanding of electrical systems and blueprint reading.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, system design, schematics interpretation, and electrical blueprint review.
• In-depth understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance requirements, and electrical building codes.
• Ability to manage project schedules effectively through construction scheduling techniques while coordinating multiple teams on-site.
• Effective team leadership capabilities with a focus on safety oversight, quality assurance, and fostering collaboration among diverse teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills for clear reporting, stakeholder engagement, and facilitating seamless project coordination.
