Project Manager - EV/DC

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Plan and manage end-to-end Solar PV projects, covering project schedules, resources, scope, and overall project progress.

• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities, while monitoring progress and resolving issues to ensure timely project delivery.

2. Cost & Cash Flow Management

• Control project budgets, costs, and cash flow, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve project financial targets.

• Review BOQs, progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and additional cost claims, while overseeing billing, invoicing, and payment collection in accordance with contractual terms.

3. Contractor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure effective project execution.

• Coordinate with Design & Estimate, Procurement, Construction, Permit & License, and O&M teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery.

4. Quality, Safety & Risk Management

• Ensure construction and installation activities comply with approved engineering designs, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

• Identify and manage project risks, site issues, and scope changes, including assessment of their impact on cost, schedule, and contractual obligations, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

5. Project Reporting & Handover

• Prepare and present project progress, cost, budget, cash flow, risk, and performance reports to management, and follow up on outstanding issues and action plans.

• Oversee testing, commissioning, inspection, acceptance, and punch list closure, and ensure complete project documentation, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, warranties, and test reports.

• Coordinate the final handover to the O&M team, including system information, maintenance requirements, and outstanding issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Solar PV project management, construction, or project execution, or demonstrated experience managing cumulative Solar PV project capacity of 50 MW or more.

• Experience in Solar PV EPC and/or Private PPA projects is preferred.

• Must possess an Associate Electrical Engineer license or higher, where required by the applicable scope of work and regulations.

• Strong project planning, scheduling, execution, and progress control skills.

• Proven ability in project cost control, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.

• Solid understanding of Solar PV systems, construction processes, installation methods, testing, and commissioning.

• Strong commercial and contractual management skills, including BOQ review, progress billing, variation orders, and payment collection.

• Proficient in MS Project, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant project management tools.

• Strong leadership, team coordination, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve site issues, and deliver projects within tight schedules.

• Strong understanding of project quality, safety, and applicable engineering standards.

• A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are preferred.
