Project Manager (Fire & Security)

TP Fire & Security, a BAFE accredited industry leading provider of Fire Protection and Security systems who have been established for over 35 years, are looking for an experienced Project Manager or someone from a position within the Industry that feel they could make the transition to Project Management, who can deliver a project on time and within budget. A clear understanding of RAMs and H&S is paramount and the ability to be flexible to the customers needs during the project.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in installation and service of fire and security systems for an NSI & BAFE registered company.
• Competent in the creation of method statements and risk assessments.
• Able to deliver projects to programme and within budget
• The ability to multitask a number of smaller projects
• Understanding electrical drawings
• Understanding of the relevant Standards for the systems being installed
• Problem solver
• To be able to produce quotations for variations
• Ability to lead a team that will consist of permanent staff and sub-contracted labour
• Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Cost conscious

MUST HAVE:

• At least 5 years of experience in the Fire systems industry.
• Knowledge of basic commissioning of various Fire Alarm systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Morley, C-tec etc.
• Knowledge of carrying out both installation, and commissioning of project to the relevant standards.
• FIA Fire Alarm accreditation's would be advantageous
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of security systems including CCTV, access control and intruder.
• An understanding of Health & Safety at work
• An electronics qualification would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Alarms/Maintenance/Fault Finding
• Needs an in-depth knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems and related fire detection equipment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Must be able to satisfy vetting to BS7858 and Enhanced DBS checks will be required for this role
• Be punctual , self motivated , well presented and have a diligent work ethic.
• Have a ‘can-do’ approach and be a ‘team-player’
• Ensure all tasks are carried out quickly & efficiently and safely
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
• Permit to work in the UK

The position will be primarily home-based, with the successful candidate required to attend operational sites and client locations in the Midlands area, as required by the needs of the business
