Description:

Responsibilities May Include:

Managing a group of small projects from FEL 0/1 through Detailed Design with an EPC Project and Understanding a project's size, complexity, and risks in order to outline an appropriate execution strategy for the project.

• Generating creative solutions to build aggressive but executable cost estimates aligned with realistic construction schedules. Coordinating and managing internal Phillips 66 resources and external resources required for project development.
• Consulting with operations, maintenance, and technical support staff to verify the operability of projects in development.
• Managing the engineering, procurement, and construction activities of contractors.
• Developing and presenting project status reports to senior management.
• Effectively working cross-functionally across various functions to articulate and secure functional support for the project.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 5 or more years of experience working in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry
• 5 or more years of experience in project development, project engineering, or project management coordination
• Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:
• Travel up to 5% of the time
• Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of project integration
• Work safely in process units
• Climb ladders and stairs in process units
• Wear fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
• Valid in-state driver’s license or be able to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• A variety of experience in areas of Projects such as a specific Engineering discipline, Construction execution, or Project Controls
• Experience as a lead Engineer with an Engineering Contractor
• Experience in the Operating and/or Maintenance Departments
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Proficiency in written communications and presentations
• Field experience in construction-related activities
• Experience in contract dispute resolution and claims management
• Experience as a Company Representative in a fabrication yard
