The Opportunity

SARGAD LLC is a diversified Private Equity and Innovation Solutions organization headquartered in Troy, Michigan. We are seeking a high-performing IT Project Manager to join our Innovation Solutions organization and lead technology projects for both private-sector and public-sector clients.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role responsible for managing technology initiatives from planning through implementation. Projects may span application development, data and analytics, cloud solutions, systems integration, digital transformation, infrastructure, and enterprise technology modernization.

We are looking for a project manager who can create structure from ambiguity, manage technical and business teams, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, anticipate risks, and drive projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

IT Project Management

• Lead technology projects from initiation and requirements definition through development, testing, implementation, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource plans, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risks, issues, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish project governance, reporting cadence, escalation processes, and decision-making structures.
• Manage multiple concurrent technology projects and competing priorities.
• Identify execution risks early and develop clear mitigation and recovery plans.
• Ensure projects meet contractual requirements, client expectations, and agreed acceptance criteria.

Technology Delivery

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including software developers, architects, data engineers, business analysts, QA teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity professionals, vendors, and subject matter experts.
• Manage projects involving application development, cloud migration, data platforms, system integration, analytics, automation, and digital transformation.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and translate business objectives into actionable project plans.
• Manage development, testing, UAT, deployment, implementation, and post-launch activities.
• Work effectively within Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments.
• Maintain disciplined documentation of requirements, decisions, risks, changes, testing, and acceptance.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary day-to-day project contact for assigned clients.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders, technology executives, government agencies, program managers, vendors, and implementation partners.
• Lead project kickoffs, status meetings, steering committee reviews, and working sessions.
• Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, presentations, meeting agendas, minutes, and action trackers.
• Communicate project health, milestones, budget status, dependencies, risks, and required decisions clearly and proactively.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues before they materially affect delivery.

Public & Private Sector Delivery

• Manage technology engagements for commercial enterprises, state and local government agencies, healthcare organizations, and other public-sector clients.
• Understand and manage contractual deliverables, statements of work, SLAs, reporting requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Support compliance with applicable client security, privacy, documentation, and governance requirements.
• Coordinate external vendors and subcontractors and hold all contributors accountable for agreed deliverables.
• Support project transitions from implementation into ongoing operations and support.

Business Development & Proposals

• Support SARGAD's growth across public- and private-sector technology markets.
• Review RFPs, RFQs, and statements of work and contribute to technical and management responses.
• Develop project approaches, implementation plans, schedules, staffing models, assumptions, and delivery methodologies for proposals.
• Participate in client presentations, solution discussions, and proposal interviews when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline; master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of IT project management or technology delivery experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex technology projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technology implementation methodologies.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project delivery.
• Strong command of project planning, budgeting, resource management, risk management, change control, and executive reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business executives.
• Strong client-facing, presentation, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, or equivalent tools.
• Exceptional organization, ownership, attention to detail, and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing projects involving cloud platforms, application development, data and analytics, AI/automation, cybersecurity, ERP, systems integration, or digital transformation.
• Experience delivering technology solutions for state or local government agencies.
• Experience managing government contracts, RFP-based engagements, subcontractors, and formal client acceptance processes.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and senior technology leadership.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other major cloud environments.
