Project Manager (IT Platform Integrations)

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join JMG Group on a 6-month contract , providing project leadership across two key technology implementation projects.

This is a delivery-focused role for someone who can take ownership of projects from mobilisation through to implementation, testing, readiness and operational handover.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, project sponsors and external suppliers to ensure projects are well planned, governed and delivered against agreed milestones and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the delivery of two key IT implementations from mobilisation through to successful handover.
• Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, milestones and implementation schedules.
• Leading requirements gathering and definition.
• Coordinating internal stakeholders and external suppliers throughout delivery.
• Managing project governance, including status reporting and governance forums.
• Maintaining RAID logs and proactively identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies.
• Coordinating testing activity and ensuring appropriate readiness for implementation.
• Managing implementation and cutover planning.
• Providing clear and regular project updates to the CIO and project sponsors.
• Supporting transition into operational teams and ensuring appropriate handover documentation is completed.
• Ensuring agreed project outputs and deliverables are achieved and signed off.

Key Deliverables

You will be expected to produce and maintain:

• Project and implementation plans
• Project status reports
• RAID and risk/issue logs
• Requirements and implementation documentation
• Testing outputs
• Cutover plans
• Handover and transition documentation

About You

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who is confident leading technology or systems implementation projects and can operate effectively across a complex stakeholder environment.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience managing end-to-end implementation projects.
• Strong project planning, governance and reporting skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management capability.
• Experience managing testing, implementation and operational handover.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work autonomously and take ownership for project outcomes.
• A structured, organised and delivery-focused approach.
• Experience within financial services, insurance or a similarly regulated environment would be advantageous.

The Engagement

This is a 6-month contractor engagement , structured on an Outside IR35 basis.

The engagement is focused on delivering defined project outcomes rather than staff augmentation or backfill, with the successful contractor responsible for determining the manner, method, sequence, timing and location of delivery, subject to agreed milestones, acceptance criteria, information security requirements and reasonable access arrangements.

The role will report regularly to the CIO and project sponsors , with the engagement concluding upon completion and sign-off of the agreed project outputs.
