Project Manager-Lighting Controls, and EV Charging

L an D Sustainability is a growing manufacturers’ representative agency serving the lighting, lighting controls, EV charging, and electrical markets throughout Northern California and Northern Nevada.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who is a self-starter, understands lighting projects, and operates with a strong sense of urgency. Someone who takes ownership, anticipates problems, and follows through until the job is done.

The Role

You’ll coordinate lighting projects from order handoff through delivery and closeout, working closely with our sales team, customer care team, manufacturers, distributors, and contractors. Your responsibility is to keep projects organized, customers informed, and commitments moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Own project execution: Track project requirements, schedules, submittals, approvals, orders, and outstanding action items.
• Stay ahead of deadlines: Monitor lead times, production schedules, ship dates, backorders, and deliveries against jobsite needs.
• Communicate proactively: Provide clear updates before customers have to ask, and flag delays with a plan to address them.
• Resolve issues: Coordinate shortages, freight damage, incorrect material, warranty claims, and returns/RGAs through resolution.
• Maintain accurate records: Keep project files, correspondence, changes, and commitments organized and current.
• Coordinate across teams: Ensure clear handoffs between sales, quotations, customer care, manufacturers, and field support.
• Support project completion: Help coordinate lighting controls startup, troubleshooting, and closeout needs with the appropriate resources.

What You Bring

• Lighting project experience is required , ideally with a lighting agency, electrical distributor, lighting manufacturer, or electrical contractor.
• A self-starter mentality: You identify what needs to happen and take action without waiting for repeated direction.
• A strong sense of urgency: You understand how response times and follow-through affect jobsite schedules and customer relationships.
• Working knowledge of lighting fixtures, product specifications, submittals, and the construction project process.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication and confidence handling difficult conversations.
• Attention to detail, accountability, and a practical approach to solving problems.
• Comfort working in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and CRM/order-management systems. Zoho experience is a plus.
• Lighting controls experience is a plus.
