About the Opportunity

An established luxury residential construction company specializing in custom, high-end, thoughtfully designed homes is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented New Build Project Manager to join its team in Sioux Falls, SD.

This individual will oversee key aspects of the residential construction process, from preconstruction planning and estimating through scheduling, financial management, construction coordination, and final project closeout. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards for quality, communication, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Coordinate custom residential projects throughout the full construction lifecycle, ensuring projects are organized and executed efficiently.
• Preconstruction & Estimating: Manage project estimates, develop specifications and scopes of work, coordinate design selections, and oversee contract initiation.
• Scheduling & Planning: Assist with initial project schedules and maintain accurate timelines throughout construction.
• Financial Management: Maintain project financials, review labor reports and timecards, and support labor forecasting and cost control.
• Client & Trade Partner Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, designers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Construction Oversight: Conduct jobsite visits as needed, lead project meetings, and ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Project Closeout: Oversee closeout documentation, completion requirements, and homeowner training.
• Safety & Teamwork: Promote a collaborative, safety-conscious environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Previous experience managing residential new-build construction projects is required.
• Experience in luxury or high-end custom homebuilding is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction plans, specifications, and applicable local and state building codes.
• Experience with construction management and scheduling software, as well as Bluebeam.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe software.
• Strong organizational, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Valid driver's license and ability to visit active construction sites.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in Sioux Falls, SD, with a combination of office-based project coordination and jobsite visits. Candidates should be comfortable working at a desk for extended periods and navigating active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
