Project Manager - Maintenance

Behind every great RealNZ experience is a fleet of vessels that need to be safe, reliable and ready for adventure. Keeping them that way takes careful planning, skilled people and a whole lot of teamwork.

We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Project Manager to join our Marine Asset team, based at our Bluff Maintenance Facility. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of vessel maintenance and improvement projects, coordinating people, resources and contractors to deliver work safely, efficiently and on schedule.

From planned maintenance periods and vessel upgrades to unexpected repairs, you'll be right in the thick of it, making sure projects run smoothly, budgets stay on track and our vessels are ready to get back on the water.

Working closely with our Marine Maintenance team, contractors and key stakeholders, including Southport, you'll build strong working relationships, champion safe work practices and identify opportunities to improve how we do things.

We're after someone who's organised, practical and enjoys bringing people and projects together to get the job done.

What You'll Bring

• Proven project management experience and relevant qualifications.
• A strong understanding of asset management and maintenance planning in a complex, asset-intensive environment.
• Experience using Enterprise Asset Management systems, such as Maximo.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, budgets and timelines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work alongside contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Experience in marine maintenance or a similar heavy industrial environment would be a real advantage. Ideally, you'll also bring around five years of relevant experience and a trade or tertiary qualification.

What's in it for you?

• Work with one of NZ's largest fleet of vessels in a progressive company
• Permanent, Bluff based role with travel
• Get ready for adventure! Enjoy exclusive staff rates (and even free access on select experiences) across RealNZ's incredible offerings. Raft down Queenstown's rivers, dine at Walter Peak, explore the Te Anau Glowworm Caves, and cruise through the breathtaking Milford and Doubtful Sounds.
• Enjoy medical insurance cover

It's our workplace environment that makes careers at RealNZ more exciting than the regular job. Working for Real could mean you're based anywhere between a secluded island, a scenic fiord, and a snow-capped maunga. Our people, places, and workdays are a great and diverse mixture. It keeps us on our toes and adds value and passion to our work.
