Project Manager - Mandarin Speaking

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Project Manager with solid experience delivering Australian house and townhouse construction.The business is introducing a new prefabricated building system to the Australian market, and this is just as central to the role as the construction management itself.Having delivered a demonstration project and secured Occupation Certification, they are now progressing a second phase of residential builds, with further land secured for future projects.

You'll bring your construction expertise to help shape how the building system is documented, standardised, and delivered as the business scales, working closely with the overseas design and manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage residential construction projects from planning through to completion, including the current second phase of builds

• Work closely with the overseas design and manufacturing team, translating Australian construction practices and standards into their system development

• Apply practical Australian house construction experience to guide sequencing, buildability, and compliance with local requirements

• Provide input on how the prefabricated system performs against Australian building standards

• Help develop project workflows, checklists, and construction procedures

• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and documentation as the business scales

• Support liaison with local universities and research bodies on compliance testing as the system matures

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in Australian house construction project management.
• Strong project coordination skills and solid understanding of the residential construction lifecycle
• Organised and confident with documentation, process development, and workflow improvement
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin, essential given regular liaison with the overseas team
• Genuinely interested in new building technology, with a willingness to learn, explore, and contribute ideas
