SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to join our team in Cape Town to manage engineering and manufacturing projects from planning through to completion.

The successful candidate will coordinate technical, commercial and operational activities while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.

POSITION INFO: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage mechanical engineering projects from planning through to completion. Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets and resources. Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and quality teams. Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation. Monitor project costs, quality, scope and deadlines. Identify and manage project risks and changes. Provide project progress reports and ensure successful project handover. REQUIREMENTS Degree in Mechanical Engineering - BEng/BSc/BTech or equivalent. 5+ years' experience in mechanical engineering and/or project management. Experience managing engineering, manufacturing or industrial projects. Strong project planning, budgeting and coordination skills. Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Proficiency in MS Office; MS Project advantageous. ADVANTAGEOUS Experience in valves, pumps, piping, mining, petrochemical, oil & gas, water or process equipment . ECSA registration. Project Management qualification such as PMP or PRINCE2. ERP/project management system experience.
