Project Manager (m/f/d)

At VON DER HEYDEN Human Capital, we’re on a mission to redefine executive search across Europe’s VC, PE, and tech ecosystem. As our new Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that mission — owning search mandates end to end, building strong relationships with top-tier clients, and leading project teams to success.

This isn’t headhunting as usual. It’s fast-paced, strategic work where your sharp thinking, structured mindset, and people skills make the difference.

What you’ll do :

• Own the full search process: From market analysis and candidate identification to outreach, interviewing, and evaluation - with guidance from our Directors and Moritz, but full end-to-end accountability for your mandates.
• Manage the client relationship: Align on who's the right fit and why, and guide stakeholders through the entire funnel, from longlist to offer negotiation and signing
• Juggle multiple mandates at once: Manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a genuinely steep learning curve
• Bring structure to complexity: Strong project management skills to keep every search organized and moving

What we are looking for :

You are an energetic, driven professional with an entrepreneurial and service-oriented mindset . You thrive on building relationships, taking ownership, and driving results. You enjoy solving complex puzzles, but also know that success comes from execution, persistence, and keeping clients engaged.

• 2–4 years of experience in a fast-paced, client-facing environment - e.g. Executive Search, Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Start-up/Scale-up, VC/PE, or B2B Sales.
• A track record of delivering results - whether by winning clients, driving projects forward, or managing stakeholders effectively.
• First experience managing projects and leading small teams, ideally in a client-facing role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and build lasting relationships.
• Energy, drive, and genuine excitement about building something with us.
• A structured way of thinking combined with a hunter mentality - you can juggle multiple mandates while keeping an eye on opportunities to grow the business.
• Highest standards for quality and execution, paired with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset.
• A strong academic background - a Bachelor’s and ideally a Master’s degree in business, economics, or natural sciences.
• Fluency in German and English (professional or native-level); other languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace
