Project Manager – Payment System Integration

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Payment System Integration to join OPTIMUM INFOSOLUTIONS (M) SDN BHD on a contract basis. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur and offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex payment system integration projects within the construction industry. As Project Manager – Payment System Integration, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of payment system integration initiatives, ensuring they align with project objectives and business requirements. This position plays a strategic role in bridging technology and construction operations, ensuring seamless integration of payment solutions across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of payment system integration projects from initiation through completion
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure cost-effective delivery and timely completion
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as necessary
• Oversee the integration of payment systems with existing construction management and operational systems
• Conduct stakeholder engagement and communication, providing regular updates on project progress and status
• Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure successful system implementation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in payment system security and data protection
• Monitor project performance against key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as required
• Document project requirements, outcomes, and lessons learned to support organisational knowledge management

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, with at least 2 years focused on system integration or technology implementation projects
• Proven experience managing payment system integrations or financial technology projects
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, fintech solutions, and integration methodologies
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly desirable
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects
• Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms)
• Understanding of construction industry operations and supply chain management is advantageous
• Knowledge of data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in payment systems is preferred
