Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Project Manager to manage power generator projects, including assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical works, with hands-on experience in generator systems, site coordination, project planning, and technical supervision.

The candidate must be willing to work on project sites and coordinate closely with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and familiarity with electrical standards, safety requirements, and local authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage power generator projects from planning stage through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Supervise generator assembly, site installation, cabling, mechanical connections, fuel systems, exhaust systems, control panels, and related equipment.
• Coordinate both electrical and mechanical works to ensure proper project execution.
• Prepare project schedules, work plans, manpower planning, and site progress reports.
• Monitor project progress, cost, quality, safety, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities, including functional testing, load testing, control system checks, and final handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical regulations, safety standards, and site requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates to management.
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and site challenges, and provide practical solutions.
• Prepare and review technical documents, inspection records, commissioning reports, and project handover documents.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Site Engineer in the power generator sector.
• Strong knowledge of diesel generators, alternators, control panels, synchronization systems, ATS panels, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and installation requirements.
• Experience in generator assembly, installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Good understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiar with local electrical regulations, safety standards, and authority requirements.
• Able and willing to work on site and travel to project locations when required.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and coordination skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and project specifications.
• Able to manage subcontractors, site teams, schedules, and client expectations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in MEP construction, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, data centers, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of load bank testing, generator synchronization, protection systems, and control wiring.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, government authorities, and inspection teams.
• Strong reporting skills and ability to prepare project documentation.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Project, Excel, AutoCAD, or related project management tools.
