What they need

About Us:

Editact Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company developing transformative therapies for genetic diseases using next-generation genome editing. We are seeking a genome editing scientist to ensure the scientific rigor of our pipeline, working directly with academic founders to generate robust proof-of-concept data that enables progression to formal development.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Collaborate with academic researchers to generate robust proof-of-concept data aligned with development goals for translating genome editing therapeutics.

·       Oversee external studies to generate targeted, supportive data regarding delivery efficacy, genome editing effectiveness, therapeutic effectiveness, off-target analysis, and safety evaluation.

·       Analyse and interpret R&D data to identify gaps and suggest studies that strengthen the overall therapeutic genome editing package.

·       Present scientific data and program strategy clearly to diverse audiences, including internal teams, investors, and government authorities.

·       Synthesize data into clear reports and provide recommendations to guide program strategy.

·       Prepare and submit compelling grant applications to secure funding from academic and government schemes.

·       Monitor and review CMC data from external partners to ensure drug supply aligns with preclinical and clinical development timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·       PhD in biological science or medical-related field.

·       Candidates must have direct hands-on R&D experience in gene therapy development, with a strong preference for genome editing (e.g., CRISPR-Cas related research). A deep understanding of the scientific principles and technical challenges of genome editing is required.

·       Preferred industry experience within biopharmaceuticals or advanced therapeutics, with an understanding of the drug discovery pathway and translation.

·       Good command in English and interpersonal skills, with experience to collaborate effectively with academic, corporate, or government stakeholders.

·       Possessed track record of preparing and submitting successful grant or funding applications is an asset.

·       Willing to travel to Chinese mainland and outside China.

·       Capable and willing to accept ad hoc assignment arranged by management team.

Why Join Us?

·       Act as the key scientific partner, transforming foundational academic research into therapeutic candidates.

·       Bridge the gap between academic discovery and biotech development at the forefront of translational science.

·       Play a pioneering role in first-in-class drug development based on novel university technology.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should submit a CV, cover letter to “[email protected]” with the subject line: “Project Manager – R&D Application – [Your Name].”
