Project Manager - Site

About the role

Plan, manage and oversee projects from commencement to completion. Coordinate project activities, manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors. Monitor project progress, work schedule, cost and overall project performance. Ensure project works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure project works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and relevant authorities
• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts and other project documents
• Monitor site activities and ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with applicable safety requirements
• Identify project risks, issues and delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Monitor project costs, variation orders, material usage and resources
• Lead project meetings and prepare progress reports for Management and clients

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in construction, engineering or stainless steel works
• Strong knowledge of project planning, site management and construction processes
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications, contracts and project documentation
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management software
• CIDB registration / relevant competency certification will be an advantage
