Project Manager - Site work Contruction

Professional Equipment Corp. is a state-licensed civil contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality underground wet utilities and land development projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

∙ Build and manage schedules, budgets, and cost reports; track production and cash flow.

∙ Run procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.

∙ Coordinate daily with Superintendents/Foremen on sequencing, crew productivity, MOT, and dewatering.

∙ Manage permitting and inspections; maintain Sunshine 811 tickets and SWPPP/NPDES compliance.

∙ Oversee testing and turnover: pressure/bac tests, mandrel/CCTV, vacuum manhole tests, as-builts, O&M.

∙ Lead Owner–Engineer–Contractor/coordination meetings; issue concise minutes, action items, and two-week look-aheads.

∙ Enforce excavation/trenching safety and incident prevention; act as or support Competent Person.

∙ Resolve utility conflicts, design clarifications, and unforeseen conditions quickly and professionally.

∙ Protect margin through value engineering, vendor competition, and disciplined change management.

∙ Close out cleanly: punch, restoration, acceptance, warranties, and client handoff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

∙ 5+ years managing underground utilities/site development projects (private development preferred).

∙ Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.

∙ Strong working knowledge of Sunshine 811, SWPPP/NPDES, and local utility agency standards (WASD, Broward WWS, PBCWUD, FKAA).

∙ Software: MS Project or P6, Bluebeam, Excel; HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid (or similar).

∙ Valid driver’s license; ability to work nights/weekends for tie-ins as needed; reliable travel within South Florida.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

∙ Lift/pump station builds, large-diameter transmission mains, complex dewatering.

∙ Bilingual English/Spanish.

∙ Survey coordination, GPS machine control/grade management, and QA/QC testing oversight.

∙ AWWA testing/disinfection familiarity for potable water mains.

∙ Certifications: FDOT TTC/MOT (Intermediate or Advanced), OSHA 30.

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL

∙ Primarily day shift; some nights/weekends for tie-ins and MOT windows.

∙ Travel within Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties.

Pay: From $78,000.00 per year
